Updates to Current Publications

     As a complimentary service to our customers, we provide amendments to current year publications which were enacted subsequent to our publication date (Dec. 1, 2007). These updates reflect amendments enacted through March 24, 2008 (Public Law 110-198).

     The amendments are listed below by Public Law number. The first link following each Public Law is to the authenticated text of the Public Law, or relevant portion thereof. The second link is to the revised text of the Code. The latter uses revision marking (underlining and strike-through) to show exactly what text has changed.

2008 United States Bankruptcy Code & Rules Booklet

  • Public Law 110-161, the ‘‘Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2008," approved Dec. 26, 2007, amended section 110 of Title 11 and section 1930 of Title 28. Public Law | Revised Code.

2008 United States Criminal Code & Rules Booklet

  • Public Law 110-151, the ‘‘Genocide Accountability Act of 2007," approved Dec. 21, 2007, amended section 1091 of Title 18. Public Law | Revised Code.

  • Public Law 110-161, the ‘‘Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2008," approved Dec. 26, 2007, amended sections 554, 982 and 2241-2244 of Title 18. Public Law | Revised Code.

  • Public Law 110-177, the ‘‘Court Security Improvement Act of 2007," approved Jan. 7, 2008, amended sections 111, 115, 930, 1112, 1512, 1513, and 3624 and added sections 119 and 1521 to Title 18; it amended section 2255 of Title 28. Public Law | Revised Code.

  • Public Law 110-179, the ‘‘Emergency and Disaster Assistance Fraud Penalty Enhancement Act of 2007," approved Jan. 7, 2008, amended sections 1341 and 1343, and added section 1040 to Title 18. Public Law | Revised Code.

  • Public Law 110-181, the "National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008," approved Jan. 28, 2008, amended section 2241 of Title 28 and section 70502 of Title 46. (Not yet available.)

  • Page 100 (top of page): paragraph beginning with "If the debtor fails to act" should appear at the end of section 521(a)(6), not 521(a)(7)
